Hello, stitching friend!
You found a little letter about me.
I'm Ariel, and I've always had a passion for crafting. I've been cross-stitching since I was a little girl, after learning from my grandma and my aunties. As life got busier with school, I slowly lost touch with this hobby because I didn't have much free time.
Looking back, I've realized how important it is to continue making time for your hobbies and practicing self-care, especially when life feels overwhelming. I was burned out, stressed, and my mind was constantly in overdrive. I needed a way to slow down. At work, I was always under pressure. School brought even more stress. Even when it was time to sleep, my mind was racing, and I was stuck in a constant state of worry.
Then I experienced a year filled with loss, and I realized I couldn't keep running at 110% all the time. I needed a change. I needed more self-care. I needed more whimsy.
One weekend, I was at the cabin with my family when I noticed my aunt cross-stitching the cutest little camping pattern. I asked her to teach me again because I needed something to quiet my mind and keep my hands busy. As I relearned the craft, discovered new techniques, and fell down the wonderful rabbit hole of the cross-stitch community online, I completely fell in love with cross-stitching all over again.
It brought back so many wonderful memories of crafting with my family, and it introduced me to some of the most incredible people in the crafting community. I love bringing digital patterns to life and displaying my finished pieces around my home. (You can find them all on my TikTok and Instagram: @lifewitharielmarie)
As I rediscovered my love for cross-stitching, I realized there was still one piece missing—I wanted to create my own designs. Before this, I owned a sticker shop where every single design was hand-drawn by me. I realized designing cross-stitch patterns was the perfect way to channel that creative energy again.
I missed owning my little shop so much that I decided to go back to school for business and reopen Ariel Marie Treasures so I could share my designs with you.
My hope is that every pattern I create brings you a little more joy, a little more whimsy, and a little more magic. Most of all, I hope these moments of stitching give you the same peace they have given me.
Thank you for supporting my dream and for being here. It truly means the world to me.
With all my love,
Ariel Marie 🤍
